Betika believes in the abilities of our people. In the words of the great Eliud Kipchoge, no human is limited and given a chance, each one of us can achieve great things.
Betika, through Betika na Community has set out to nurture and support talent, arts and culture. The initiative was started in 2019 as a response to the rising need for support by our sportspersons and people with diverse talents and abilities.
Over the years, the initiative has supported over 100,000 sportspersons with sports equipment and financial aid. These has benefited the Kenyan sports industry by motivating young talent in a bid to improve the quality of the game. The program has further provided over two million local traders, mechanics and Jua Kali artisans with safety equipment to use at their places by helping them earn a living and improve their quality of life
In the heat of COVID-19 in 2020, Betika sheltered the sports fraternity with a Kshs. 20 Million boost during the unprecedented times that saw all sporting events halted. The
contribution saw the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Heritage through Cabinet Secretary
Amina Mohamed cushion the sports industry. An additional Kshs. 5 Million was directly sent to Betika National Super League and Kenya Premier league football players, with the support of FKF, to help them wade through the uncertain times that all Kenyans were going through.
Betika is also the proud sponsor of the Kenya Premier League sides AFC Leopards and Kenya Police FC, after having sponsored Sofapaka for 5 years.
Betika na Community continues to support our youth and we hope to do even more in the coming years.
